How to Schedule Your Trip

If you’re a first-time rider, please call our friendly and courteous reservationists so they can set you up in our data system. They’ll also answer your questions and give you helpful tips on how to make every ride a pleasant one.

Reservations are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For faster service, please have the following information ready for the reservationist:

  • Physical street address of pickup point. Remember to mention which door and any other helpful tips
  • Time of appointment (if applicable)
  • Time requested for pickup
  • Physical address and name of destination, including building/shopping center name, door, and any other specific drop-off point

Cancellations: We ask that you provide us with at least 2 hours notice if you need to cancel your trip. If you do not show for a trip it is called a no-show.

You must make reservations by email at least two business days in advance. In order for us to complete your request, the following information must be in your email:

  • Date of reservation/cancellation
  • Your full name
  • If you use any mobility devices
  • If anyone else will be riding with you
  • If a car seat is needed
  • Daytime phone number and email address
  • Physical address of pickup
  • Time of appointment (if applicable)
  • Time requested for pickup
  • Physical address and name of destination, including building/shopping center name
  • ADA or JAUNT certification number (if applicable)
  • Time requested for return pickup (will-calls for doctor appointments only)

If any of the above information is omitted, your request won’t be accepted.

We’ll confirm your reservation only Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Don’t assume that requests are finalized until you receive confirmation of your reservation. If you don’t see a confirmation by 9:00 a.m. the following business day, check your spam folder. If you still can’t find a confirmation, call us at 434-296-3184, option 3.

How to Pay for a Ride

Pay with cash, check, and tickets.

Our “frequent fliers” find it’s most convenient to purchase ticket books (each contains 10 tickets, one used each time the rider boards the bus). You can buy the tickets from our drivers or pay as you go with exact cash or a check made payable to JAUNT, Inc. If you’re ever in Charlottesville or choose to purchase your tickets by mail, stop by our lobby or mail your check to JAUNT, Inc.,104 Keystone Place, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
