Title VI

Title VI Plan

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs and activities receiving Federal financial assistance. Specifically, Title VI provides that “no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance” (42 U.S.C. Secion 2000d).

Jaunt is commited to ensuring that no person is excluded from participating in, or denied the benefits of its transportation services on the basis of race, color, or national origin, as protected by Title VI in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Circular 4702.1B.

Regional Connections — Powered by Jaunt

Jaunt Home

Provides curb-to-curb demand-response service in the counties of Buckingham, Fluvanna, Louisa, Nelson, and rural Albemarle. Also provides ADA paratransit service in the City of Charlottesville and urban Albemarle.

Connect Service

Provides fixed-route commuter service to UVA and downtown Charlottesville from Crozet, 29 North, Buckingham, and Lovingston. Reservations are not required to ride, just show up at the advertised stop and time.

Provides curb-to-curb service within Greene County as well as scheduled runs to and from Charlottesville.
