Dear Valued Jaunt Clients,
Over the next several weeks and months, Jaunt, Inc. will be updating our current reservation system through both new technology and better processes. Our goal is to improve customer experience and overall trip reliability. We have a series of exciting upgrades in the works including a new VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone system, and a “Passenger Portal” which will provide clients the option to schedule and cancel trips online in both a web browser and a mobile-based app.
In anticipation of these exciting updates, we will be instituting the following procedural changes to better serve you. We ask for your continued patience and understanding as we work to improve our services.

Beginning Thursday, April 28, 2022, a small schedule change will go into effect on certain CONNECT routes. Select pick-up locations will be converted from “time points” to “stop points.” Meaning,...
This service transports commuters from park and ride lots to locations at UVA and downtown Charlottesville in the morning, returning in the evening. Reservations are not required to ride on CONNECT services: simply be prepared at the advertised stop and time. Because CONNECT is a fixed route service, the Operator will stop briefly to pick up passengers and then immediately continue on the route to avoid delays and adhere to the published schedule.
Crozet CONNECT – Weekday commuter service transporting riders from east and west Crozet to UVA and Downtown Charlottesville.
29 North CONNECT – Weekday commuter service transporting riders from the Hollymead area to UVA and Downtown Charlottesville.
Buckingham CONNECT – Commuter service transporting riders from central Buckingham along Rt. 20 to UVA, 29 North, Downtown Charlottesville, and Pantops.
Lovingston CONNECT – Weekday commuter service transporting riders from the Lovingston area along Rt. 29 to UVA, Downtown Charlottesville, and Belmont.
All CONNECT services are registered with Google Maps. Use your desktop or smartphone to plan your trip by entering your origin and destination, then choosing transit as your mode. You can even change the “Leaving Now” drop-down to either “Depart At” or “Arrive By” to plan a future trip.
Curious when the bus is coming? Real-time bus locations for all CONNECT services are available on the Transloc Rider App, the same app used by University Transit Services at the University of Virginia.
When riding transit, it’s important that you can get home if something unexpected happens. Regular transit riders should register for the FREE Guaranteed Ride Home program. After registering, members are eligible for 5 free trips home per year. Register now to ensure peace of mind.
Whether it’s a late meeting, midday errands, or an after-work commitment, some transit riders still need to use their car from time to time. Fortunately, parking savings are available for occasional transit users. UVA offers prorated Occasional Parker Permits, allowing employees to park at work 10 days per month. Similarly, commuters traveling downtown can take advantage of Discounted Daily Parking coupons offered by the Lanier Parking Office downtown.
