Board of Directors

Jaunt is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the localities we serve. It is composed of 14 voting members, including four from the City of Charlottesville, four from Albemarle County and two from Louisa, Fluvanna and Nelson Counties.

The Board is responsible for overseeing the organization, including the establishment of policies and appointing the Chief Executive Officer. The Board elects members from its ranks annually to serve as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Select Jaunt board members also serve on the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Jaunt Friends Board, and represent Jaunt on the Regional Transit Partnership.

The board meets at 10:00 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month to discuss governance and policies. Meetings are open to the public. Jaunt Board members are chosen by the localities they represent. As Board positions become available, qualified and interested persons may contact their local Board of Supervisors, or City Council office, for application procedures.
