Reservation System Changes – 2023

June 27, 2023 Janet and Robin Riders

Effective April 1, 2023

Dear Valued Jaunt Clients,

Over the next several weeks and months, Jaunt, Inc. will be updating our current reservation system through both new technology and better processes. Our goal is to improve customer experience and overall trip reliability. We have a series of exciting upgrades in the works including a new VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone system, and a “Passenger Portal” which will provide clients the option to schedule and cancel trips online in both a web browser and a mobile-based app.

In anticipation of these exciting updates, we will be instituting the following procedural changes to better serve you. We ask for your continued patience and understanding as we work to improve our services.

Effective April 1st the following changes will take place:

Jaunt will begin accepting reservations no more than 7 days in advance. (Please note: this will not impact subscription trips.)

Jaunt will no longer accept reservations by e-mail during off hours. Our Reservations team is available Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:00 p.m. and reservations can only be scheduled during those times. However, if you are ADA certified, please reach out to our Dispatch team (during Reservations team off hours) via email at dispatchemails@ridejaunt.org or by calling 434.296.3184 and pressing 2.

The option to make a reservation by leaving a voicemail will no longer be available during our off hours. You must schedule and confirm a booking by speaking with a member of our Reservations team directly. Again, if you are ADA certified, please reach out to our Dispatch team (during Reservations team off hours) by calling 434.296.3184 and pressing 2.

These procedural changes have been carefully considered and we feel are very much in line with our mission of safely delivering caring, attentive and inclusive service through convenient, innovative and sustainable transit solutions. Please reach out to our Customer Service Representative, Brandy Watson – brandyw@ridejaunt.org or call 434.296. 3184 if you have any questions or concerns.
